Pamapersada’s records higher coal, overburden production

Publicly listed heavy equipment supplier PT United Tractors Tbk reported Friday that fully-owned subsidiary mining contractor PT Pamapersada Nusantara produced 26.1 million tons of coal in the first nine months of 2005, or 18 percent higher compared to the same period last year.

UT said Pama’s performance in overburden removal was also increased by 43 percent to 210.6 million bank cubic meter (bcm) from 147.1 million (bcm).

Pama produced 29.4 million tons of coal last year.

Pama’s existing clients include PT Adaro Indonesia, PT Indominco Mandiri, state-owned coal miner PT Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam, PT Kaltim Prima Coal, PT Arutmin Indonesia, and PT Tanjung Alam Jaya. (Robert)
