Indonesia?s top coalmining contractor PT. Pamapersada Nusantara booked Rp. 1.57 trillion (US$ = 9,055) in revenue during the first half of 2002, reflecting 7 percent increase compared to last year?s corresponding half-year revenue of Rp. 1.47 trillion.
United Tractors, 100 percent owner of Pama, said in its report that the increase was due to increasing volume of coal produced and overburden removed.
During the first half of 2002, Pama has produced 14.4 million tons of coal and had moved 67 million cubic meters of overburden, higher than last year?s corresponding half-year coal production of 11.4 million tones and 52.2 million cubic meters overburden removed.
Pama is mining contractor for PT. Adaro Indonesia, PT. Kaltim Prima Coal, PT. Indominco Mandiri, PT. Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam, PT. Multi Harapan utama and PT. BHP Kendilo. (alex/robert)
