Pamapersada clinches 5 year contract to develop Jembayan coal concession

Indonesia top mining contractor PT Pamapersada Nusantara has clinched a 5 year mining contract to develop PT Jembayan Muarabara?s coal reserves in Kutai Kartanegara regency, East Kalimantan.

A Pamapersada official said on Monday in Nusa Dua, Bali that the mining contract was effective in the second half of this year and the service company expected to produce around one million tons of coal for Jembayan Muarabaru by the end of 2005.

The official said the coal production will be increased to between 3 and 5 million tons in the fourth year of the contract.

PT Jembayan Muarabara holds a mining authorization permit over a concession in Kutai Kertanegara. The company?s coal calorific value is about 6300 Kcal/kg. (alex)
