Pamapersada expects lower coal ouput this year

Coal mining contractor PT Pamapersada Nusantara, a subsidiary of IDX-listed heavy equipment and coal mining company PT United Tractors Tbk, expects total coal production from mines owed by its clients this year to reach only around 106 million tons, slightly lower than 109 million tons last year.

?The target this year for coal (production) is around 106 million tons,? Ari Sutrisno, Director of Pamapersada told Petromindo.com recently. He did not provide reasons for the lower coal production.

Several coal miners in the country have previously said that unseasonal heavier rainfall during the past several months have hampered production activities.
