Pamapersada produces 20.2 million tons of coal in H1

Publicly listed heavy equipment supplier PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) reported Friday its wholly-owned subsidiary mining contractor PT Pamapersada Nusantara produced 20.2 million tons of coal in the first half of 2006, a 23 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

UT said Pama's overburden removal production reached 165.3 bank cubic meters in the six-month period of 2006 or 32 percent higher than the year ago period.

Pama's net sales increased by 49.1 percent to Rp 3.8 trillion, UT said, adding that coal mining projects of PT Adaro Indonesia, PT Indominco Mandiri and PT Kaltim Prima Coal were the largest contributors to Pama's current revenue. (Robert)
