Pamapersada recorded coal production increase in 2001

Coal mining contractor PT Pamapersada Nusantara, a wholly owned subsidiary of publicly listed firm PT United Tractors Tbk, recorded coal production of 24.7 million tons in 2001, an increase compared to previous year?s production of 22.2 million tons, according to parent company in its release Wednesday.
Pamapersada is Indonesia?s largest coal mining contractor.
Pamapersada also recorded net income of Rp. 3.06 trillion (US$ = 10,300) in 2001, or 41.6 percent higher that net income of Rp. 2.16 trillion in 2000. Coal contracting services contributes more than 90 percent of Pamapersada?s net income.
Pamapersada is a contractor to several coal mining firms such as PT. Adaro Indonesia, Indominco Mandiri, PT Tambang Batu bara Bukit Asam and Multi Harapan Utama. (alex/robert)
