Coal mining services company PT Pamapersada Nusantara, a subsidiary of IDX-listed heavy equipment and coal mining firm PT United Tractors Tbk (UT), is targeted to produce about 110 million tons of coal this year from mines owned by its clients.

UT President Director Gidion Hasan said on Tuesday that overburden removal is targeted to reach 745 million bank cubic meters (bcm). He did not provide comparative figures.

Gidion said that as of the first quarter of this year, coal production from mines owned by clients has reached 25 million tons, while overburden removal reached 175 million bcm.

UT plans to spend about $350-$400 million for capital expenditure this year, about 90 percent of which to be allocated for Pamapersada.
