Pamapersada to produce 4.5 MT of coal from new projects

Publicly listed heavy equipment supplier PT United Tractors Tbk said its wholly-owned subsidiary PT Pamapersada Nusantara, Indonesia?s largest coal mining contractor, would produce 4.5 million tons of coal in 2005 from its new mining projects in Kalimantan.

?For next year, Bendili project is expected to already deliver 1 million tons of coal, added with another 3.5 million tons from Jembayan, Asam-asam and Tanjung Alam projects,? UT said in a public expose on Friday.

Bendili project is owned by PT Kaltim Prima Coal, while Jembayan project holds by PT Anugrah Bara Kaltim, both are located in East Kalimantan.

Meanwhile, another two projects, located in South Kalimantan, are Asam-asam project owned by PT Arutmin Indonesia and Tanjung Alam project owned by PT Timah.

Pama's existing clients include PT Adaro Indonesia, PT Indominco Mandiri, PT Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam, PT. Multi Harapan Utama, PT Dasa Eka Jasatama, and PT. Kideco Jaya Agung.

Last year, Pama produced 27.7 million tons of coal. This coal mining contracting contributes around 96 percent of Pama?s total revenue. (Robert)
