Pan Orient: Drilling of AYU-1X well delayed again

Canadian firm Pan Orient Energy Corp said that the planned drilling of the AYU-1X well in the East Jabung PSC, Jambi Province, has been slightly delayed to July 20, from an earlier schedule of July 5, due to the recent week-long holidays in Indonesia to celebrate the Islamic Ramadhan festivity.
?The operator of the East Jabung PSC has advised that the commencement of the AYU-1X exploration well has been revised to July 20, 2017 as a result of delays experienced during Ramadan,? Pan Orient said in a statement on Wednesday.
?It is anticipated there will be no further updates regarding the AYU-1X well until drilling has been completed, which is estimated at 32 days from the commencement of drilling,? it added.
Pan Orient, which owns a non-operating 49 percent interest in the East Jabung PSC, said last month that the drilling program was re-scheduled to be implemented on or around July 5, a delay from the initial plan of end April.
