Pan Orient plans drilling programs late in 2014, 2015

Canadian firm Pan Orient plans to drill a number of exploration wells in the Batu Gajah PSC, and East Jabung PSC, both located onshore Jambi, in the fourth quarter of this year and next year.
The company said in a presentation material seen on Thursday that the drilling programs would be started once the ongoing farm-out process of the two blocks has been completed. Pan Orient holds 77 percent interest in the Batu Gajah PSC and 100 percent in East Jabung PSC.
According to the presentation material, a 400-km2 3D seismic program at Batu Gajah has been completed. Once the farm-out process has been completed drilling of three exploration wells at the block is expected to start sometimes between the fourth quarter of this year and first quarter of next year with the following schedule: drilling of Raka-1 exploration well in Q4/2014-Q1/2015, Akatara East-1 exploration well in Q1/2015-Q2/2015, and Takar-1 exploration well in Q3/2015-Q4/2015.
The company also said that 440km 2D seismic program at the East Jabung PSC has been completed, confirming the Anggun prospect. According to the presentation material, post farm-out drilling program is scheduled for Q4/2014-Q2/2015.
Pan Orient said in May it hoped to soon conclude the farm-out process of the two blocks to seek partners for the planned drilling programs.
