Panca Amara secures gas for ammonia plant

PT Panca Amara Utama (PAU), a subsidiary of Indonesia?s only listed LPG refiner PT Surya Esa Perkasa, has secured 55 mmscfd of gas supply for its planned ammonia processing plant.

The gas will come from Senoro field in Central Sulawesi. The ammonia plant meanwhile will be designed to process 700,000 metric tons and is slated for operation by third quarter of 2015.

Last week, PAU has secured approval from the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry of the gas price, a statement said.

PAU will purchase the gas from Joint Operating Body Pertamina Medco Tomori Sulawesi at USD8,60 per mmbtu.
