PT Pandawa Prima Lestari said it is currently carrying out geology, geophysics, and reservoir (GGR) study at the Karamba Updip-1 well in Wain block, East Kalimantan, as part of requirements to prepare for the first plan of development (POD) of the block.

Pandawa Head of Government Affairs and Relations, Dwi Djatmiko told Petromindo.com Monday that the company hopes to be able to submit the POD to the authority this year.

As has been previously reported by this portal, Pandawa announced last year it had found gas at the Karamba Updip-1 exploration well in the Wain block.

The Wain exploration block is located onshore Kutei Basin, which is one of prolific hydrocarbon producing basins in Indonesia, covering an area of 1,149 square kilometers. The block is 100 percent owned by PT Pandawa Prima Lestari.
