Pandawa Prima spuds E. Kalimantan exploration well

Local firm PT Pandawa Prima Lestari (PPL) has spudded an exploration well in Wain PSC onshore East Kalimantan on October 30, 2009, an official with upstream oil, gas authority BPMIGAS said on Thursday.

Chief Representative for Kalimantan and Sulawesi Agus Suryono told Petromindo.Com that the South Karamba well will be drilled to the total depth of 1,350 meters.

The well will be followed by another well which is located some 2 kilometers from the first well, he said.

The Wain PSC was awarded to PPL in January 2007. (alex)
