Paramount appoints new director

ASX-listed Paramount Mining Corporation Ltd said that it had appointed Peter Bacchus, an experienced investment banker, as its non-executive director.
Based in London, Bacchus is the joint head of European investment banking and global head of metals and mining investment banking at Jefferies, a leading US investment bank.
He has over 20 years? investment banking experience. Prior to joining Jefferies in March 2011, he was a managing director and global head of metals and mining investment banking at Morgan Stanley.
Previously, he served as a managing director at Citigroup where he was head of Asia-Pacific industrials investment banking and co-head of global metals and mining investment banking based in Sydney, Jakarta and London.
?We are delighted to appoint Mr. Bacchus to the Paramount Board. He has a long association with the resources sector, including in-country experience in Indonesia,? said Paramount Chairman Mo Munshi.
Paramount CEO and Managing Director Terry Holohan said that Bacchus joined the company at a critical stage in its activities. ?Mr Bacchus brings a wealth of metals and mining investment banking experience at a critical stage in the Company?s activities, as we continue development of the exciting Gunung Rosa gold, silver and base metals mining project,? he added.
