ASX-listed Paramount Mining Corporation Limited released Wednesday summary figures showing analytical results from new grid based soil sampling extending to the north and east of the main Gunung Rosa gold, silver and base metals vein in West Java Province

Soil results clearly define the limits of alteration and mineralization extending away from the main zone of veins hosted in intrusives and intrusive breccias. The local centers of more elevated co-anomalous copper, molybdenum, bismuth and arsenic are considered to reflect sites potentially more closely linked with a porphyry source for the high grade Gunung Rosa vein mineralization at depth and extension of the mineralization to depth into the porphyry environment, the company said in a statement.

Paramount?s Chairman, Mo Munshi commented, ?The new soil geochemical results continue to support our view of the high potential for significant additional economic gold, silver and base metal mineralization at the Gunung Rosa project. The soil results combined with the magnetic survey results again point to the porphyry potential of this project.
