Patra Niaga, Multi Terminal sign partnership agreement

Fuel distributor PT Patra Niaga, a subsidiary of state oil, gas firm PT Pertamina, has signed an agreement with PT Multi Terminal Indonesia (MTI) in the marketing of marine fuels and other fuel products in the country.

The memorandum of understanding on the fuel marketing has been signed in Jakarta by Patra Niaga's president director Hasto Wibowo and MTI's president director Sudjarwo, Patra Niaga said in a statement in its website.

Hasto said in the statement that the partnership with MTI, a subsidiary of state owned port operator PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II with business including providing vessel, cargo and container handling and storage services, was expected to further increase Patra Niaga's fuel sales.

?With the cooperation, we hope Patra Niaga? sales of bunker fuels could reach between 150 and 300 kiloliters a month,? Hasto said.

Sudjarwo said MTI operates in 10 provinces across the country, that is West Java, jakarta, Banten, Lampung, Bengkulu, South Sumatra, Jambi, West Sumatra, Bangka Belitung and West Kalimantan.

"Besides, MTI also makes business in ocean-going marketing, cargo, warehousing and logistics," he said. (bernard)
