PT Patra Badak Arun Solusi (PBAS), a subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, on Friday signed an implementation deed with Inpex Corp to help provide skilled workers for LNG projects owned by the latter company and its affiliates.

Pertamina said in a statement that the signing of the contract follows the signing of a MoU between PBAS and Inpex Australia Pty Ltd on October 15, 2014, under which PBAS would provide assistance and support to Inpex and its affiliates in areas such as training of LNG operator, assistance in the commissioning and start up of LNG plant, operation and maintenance services, technical assistance services, labor support, and other services.

?The signing of the implementation deed contract for manpower support is one of the forms of long-standing cooperation between PBAS and Inpex, where PBAS workers are seconded to Inpex,? said Pertamina Vice President for Corporate Communications Wianda Pusponegoro in a statement.

PBAS, which has set up a subsidiary in Australia called Patra Badak Arun Solution Pty Ltd, has up to now sent 11 LNG-skilled workers from Indonesia to Ichthys LNG Australia project, which is 62.25 percent owned by Inpex Corp, the statement said.

Pertamina said in the statement that PBAS has also established cooperation with Australian services firm UGL Limited to help penetrate markets in Australia, Indonesia, and the Asia Pacific region.
