PBAS supervises Cilacap RFCC project

State owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina has entrusted the supervision of its Residual Fluid Catalytic Cracker (RFCC) project at the Cilacap refinery in Central Java to its subsidiary PT Patra Badak Arun Solusi (PBAS).
Pertamina said that the Cilacap RFCC project is now in the phase of start-up preparation and PBAS was given the contract to supervise the project so that its completion can be accelerated and the project can meet the quality and budget targets.
The contract was recently signed by PBAS and Pertamina?s Refining Project Function.
The US$1.4 billion Cilacap RFCC project, which was kicked off in 2011, will raise the processing capacity of the Cilacap refinery by 62,000 barrels per day (bpd) from 348,000 bpd, Pertamina earlier said.
The new production facility is expected to raise the national gasoline production by 1.9 million kiloliters per year, raise its LPG production by 352,000 per year. Furthermore, the Cilacap RFCC unit will produce 142,000 tons of proplyne per year.
