Coal mining firm PT Prolindo Cipta Nusantara (PCN), a member of Lestari Cipta Persada (LCP) Group, is budgeting around US$4 million to finance the development of a third jetty in Angsana, Sebamban District, Tanah Bumbu Regency, South Kalimantan.

Henry Soetio, President Director of LCP told Petromindo.com recently that the additional jetty is required to support the planned increase in the coal production capacity of the company.

He revealed that the company will apply a new technology in the new jetty, not the commonly used conveyor belt system. He, however, refused to disclose about the new technology. ?We hope the new jetty will be completed this year,? he said, without providing further details.

Currently, PCN is producing coal at a volume of 250,000 tons per month.
