Coal mining company PT Prolindo Cipta Nusantara (PCN), a subsidiary of Lestari Citra Persada (LCP), stated that it will procure around 20 articulated dump trucks (ADTs) to support the company's plan in increasing capacity of production in the second semester of this year.

Andi A. Manggabarani, Marketing Director of the company told Petromindo.com recently that the company will purchase ADTs each with capacity of 60 tons. "We will need around 20 ADTs for hauling overburden removal as well as to balance the heavy equipment that we already have," he said, adding that the company already has sufficient number of bulldozers and excavators.

"By purchasing another 20 ADTs we expect that our capacity of production will be increased to 420,000 tons per month from 350,000 tons currently," he said, adding that the increased capacity output is expected to start in the second semester this year. "The new dump trucks are expected to be effective in the second semester," he said.

He said that the company is budgeting around US$5 million for purchasing 20 ADTs.
