PD Melati sues Ministry of Energy over KPC share sale

PD Perusahaan Daerah (PD) Melati Bhakti Satya, a company owned by the East Kalimantan provincial administration, has formally filed a law suit with the state administration court in Jakarta on Wednesday against the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources for allowing East Kalimantan-based coal miner PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) to sell part of its shares to the East Kutai regency administration.

PD Melati Bhakti demanded the court to annul the decision that allowed the Kutai Timur regency's administration to buy 18.6 percent of KPC shares, Koran Tempo reported on Thursday. (*)
