PT Pertamina Drilling Services Indonesia (PDSI) recorded a healthy performance last year, posting a hefty 171.19 percent increase in net profits and 97.23 percent rise in EBITDA, respectively, from a year earlier.

The figures were revealed by President Director Faried Rudiono during the company?s shareholders meeting last week in parent company PT Pertamina?s office in Jakarta. Net profits stood at US$39.09 million in 2012, while EBITDA at $87.23 million.

Total revenue soared by 32 percent to reach $244 million. Faried particularly attributed the jump revenue to the operation of new rigs.

As of the end of December, PDSI operated 35 rigs, outside a number of rigs operated under a partnership scheme in four drilling areas in the country.
