PDSI drills new geothermal well in Lampung

PT Pertamina Drilling Services Indonesia (PDSI) is currently drilling a geothermal development well at the Ulubelu geothermal working area in Lampung Province owned by PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy (PGE).

PDSI Acting President Director Satoto Agustono said that the drilling of the 51st well in Ulubelu was started on November 4, and has now reached a depth of more than 600 meters of the target depth of 3,000 meters.

Satoto said his company started cooperation with PGE in the drilling of the Ulubelu geothermal area with the 50th well.

PGE currently operates a combined 220 MW Ulubelu geothermal power plant in Tanggamus Regency, Lampung Province.
