PDSI expands business to Algeria

State owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina announced that it recently sent a team to Algeria to look for business opportunities for its drilling arm PT Pertamina Drilling Service Indonesia (PDSI).

The team comprise among others Upstream Director Slamet Riadhy and Marketing and Development of PDSI Lelin Apriantono

During the visit to the country, the Pertamina delegation met with among others Algeria?s state owned oil and gas firm Sonatrach, ConocoPhilips Aljier Ltd (COPAL), local law firm and local drilling service firms.

Sonatrach voiced interest in cooperating with PDSI particularly in the provision of deepwater drilling rigs, Pertamina said in a statement obtained Monday.

Pertamina already has oil and gas operations there after acquiring some interest owned by COPAL last year.
