PDSI, PAG assigned to operate logistics center

The government has appointed PT Pertamina Drilling Services Indonesia (PDSI) and PT Perta Arun Gas (PAG) along with 15 other companies to manage and operate bonded logistics centers (also known here as PLB) in the country.

Pertamina said in a statement that its two subsidiaries obtained on Thursday the official certificate from the government to operate the bonded logistics centers.

Pertamina said that PDSI started on Thursday the operation of its logistics center, located in Pondok Cabe, Pamulang, Tangerang, Banten Province, providing services to among others Pertamina subsidiaries as part of efforts to reduce logistic costs.

Meanwhile, PAG is expected to begin operation of its logistics center in Lhokseumawe, Aceh Utara, Aceh Province, 2017, taking advantage of its two idle LNG tanks, which have storage capacity of about 210,000 m3. ?It will be functioned as an LNG hub for international trade such as the one in Singapore,? said Sukarni Manan, PAG Production Planning & Process Engineering Head.
