PDSI, PEP sign rig contract extension

PT Pertamina Drilling Services Indonesia (PDSI) has just signed a contract extension with oil and gas firm PT Pertamina EP (PEP) for the lease of 34 rigs for the period of July-December 2013.

The contract extension is worth US$112 million. The two companies are subsidiaries of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina.

?We have just signed a contract extension with Pertamina EP for July-December worth $112 million,? President Director of PDSI, Faried Rudiono told Petromindo.com Thursday.

He added that the 34 rigs are used to carry out drilling works at the working areas of PEP scattered in Aceh, Jambi, South Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan and Sulawesi.
