Peak plans to drill N. Sumatra block in 2014

Australian oil and gas exploration firm Peak Oil& Gas plans to drill one well at South Block A PSC onshore North Sumatra next year.
The company said that Quest Geophysical Company has been contracted on a turnkey basis to complete a 170-km line seismic. Due to labor dispute, seismic program has suffered some delays and is now scheduled to be completed in early 2014.
Seismic program is intended to mature up 7 identified leads ahead of selection of the first well to be drilled in 2014, the company said.
Peak?s majority controlled company Renco Elang Energy Pte Ltd is the block operator and has a 51 percent interest in the block.
