Pearl sees E. Kalimantan gas field to start production in 2012

Andrew Duncan, Pearl Energy Indonesia Group of Companies President told Petromindo.Com on a side line of an IPA Convention and Exhibition that the company will build a 300-km pipeline to be tied to Senipah processing facilities and then to Bontang LNG plant.?
?Some of the gas would be sold to domestic market and some to export market,? said Duncan, adding that the process to find buyers for the gas is ongoing.
Duncan said the company is currently tendering FEED for the project with the view to award the contract within the next couple of months.
He did not disclose the flowrate of the gas would be supplied to Bontang, but a Pearl official earlier said that the flowrate would be about 100MMCFD. The field, according to reports, has reserves of 300BCF.
He further added that the company has notified upstream oil, gas company BPMIGAS about readiness to sell 10 percent of its interest in the block to Indonesian company as obliged by the regulation. ?We?re waiting for conformation from BPMIGAS,? he said.
Pearl Energy, a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi firm Mubadala Development Company has 100 percent stake in the block. (alex)
