Pelabuhan Ratu Unit 2, 3 to require 2.8m tons of coal supply

After the recent operation of coal-fired Pelabuhan Ratu power plant Unit 1, developer PT Truba Alam Manunggal Engineering expects the operation commencement of Unit 2 this December and Unit 3 in February.
Unit 2 and 3, with a total 700 MW capacity, will need about 2.8 million tons of coal a year. "The suppliers are PTBA, KPC, PLN BB, Kideco and Titan Persada," said Corporate Secretary Sylvia Situmorang to Petromindo.com.
Truba Alam develops the plant together with China 's Shanghai Electric Group.
At present, the two units are entering the commissioning stage.
Unit 1, at 350 MW, has been in operation since September. It requires 1.4 million tons of coal a year.
