State-owned port operator PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo) II plans to divest shares in subsidiary PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok (PTP), operator of the Tanjung Priok Port in Jakarta, via initial public offering (IPO).
This was said by Pelindo II Finance Director Widyaka Nusapti on Tuesday as quoted by news portal bisnis.com. He said that the PTP IPO plan has been included in the Pelindo II 2019 work and budget plan.
Widyaka, however, said that the company is waiting for approval from the Office of the State Ministry of State Owned Enterprises regarding the IPO plan.
He said that the IPO will bolster good governance and transparency at PTP. “In terms of capital, we’re sufficient,” he said. No further details were provided regarding the IPO plan. (*)
