Pelayaran Nelly plans 10 MW biomass power plant

IDX-listed shipping company PT Pelayaran Nelly Dwi Putri Tbk, through subsidiary PT Nely Energy plans to build a 10 MW biomass power plant.
Pelayaran Nelly Prsident Director Tjahja Tjugiarto said on Monday that woodchips will be used as feedstock for the biomass plant, to come from affiliated companies.
He added that the planned project may be located either in Jambi, Palembang, or East Kalimantan. ?It (the project) is still at feasibility study stage,? he said, adding that the company will not seek a partner for the small power plant project, which is estimated to cost about US$10 million.
Budi said the company plans to sell the entire output from the power plant to state-owned electricity firm PT PLN.
