Pelayaran Straits to operate new coal transshipment barge

IDX-listed PT Indo Straits Tbk announced that it has taken delivery of a newly built Coal Transhipment Barge "Straits Venture II" through its subsidiary company, PT Pelayaran Straits Perdana from the Ship Builder company, Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd in Singapore.

The Straits Venture II will be in operation in November 2012

The Straits Venture II is equipped with bucket up to 40 cubic meters in size and a pedestal crane manufactured in Germany by Gottwald Port Technology GmbH with the loading coal capacity of 40.000 tons per day.

The company said the Straits Venture II was the second unit Coal Transhipmcnt Barge that the Company commissioned to serve its long standing clients in the Indonesia coal mining industry.
