Pelindo, AKR to build three power plants in E. Java industrial estate

State-owned port operator PT Pelindo III and IDX-listed logistics company PT AKR Corporindo Tbk plan to develop three power plants at the Java Integrated Industrial Ports and Estate (JIIPE) in Gresik, East Java.
The two firms are currently developing the JIIPE.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Industry, three power plants include a 15 MW gas-fired power plant (to be constructed starting in the first quarter of 2017), 500 MW gas-fired power plant (starting in Q4 2018), and a 600 MW wind power plant (Q4 2020).
?Land requirements for the 15 MW and 500 MW power plants are now ready, and is waiting for recommendation letter from the East Java governor to apply for area permit with BKPM,? the ministry said in a statement referring to the Investment Coordinating Board.
