Pelindo II plans SEZ in Bengkulu’s Baai Island

State-owned port operator PT Pelindo II plans to develop a special economic zone (SEZ) on Baai Island in Bengkulu Province to help accelerate local economic development.

Bengkulu Governor Rohidin Mersyah said in a statement on Tuesday that Pelindo II will partner with a company called PT Pathway in the proposed project.

He said that a consultant has completed study of the proposed SEZ project on Baai Island, and the Pelindo II is set to submit to the proposed project to the central government (SEZ Council) for approval.
