Pelindo III: Poros Maritim Tower to be completed in 2020

State-run port operator PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Pelindo III), which operates a number of ports in the central part of Indonesia, said the development of Poros Maritim Tower is expected to be completed in 2020.
"We hope this building will improve the synergy and coordination in the efforts to make Indonesia as the world maritime axis," President Director of Pelindo III Doso Agung was quoted by Antara as saying.
He made the statement during the 'topping off ceremony' of the tower. The tower will have 23 floors and is being developed on 11,000 square meters of land and building size of 60,000 square meters.
The tower will become the centre of one-roof top service for Tanjung Perak Port, Surabaya, East Java.
President Joko Widodo has declared Indonesia as a world maritime axis when he was elected as President Indonesia in 2014. Some of its programs have been directed to reach the target including developing the so-called sea-toll that improves the connection between islands across the nation. (*)
