Pelindo to conclude FS of Tanjung Carat seaport this year

State-owned port operator PT Pelindo Indonesia II said that feasibility study (FS) for a deep seaport project at the proposed Tanjung Api-Api Special Economic Zone (SEZ), located in Tanjung Carat, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra Province, is expected to be completed this year.

Pelindo President Director Elvyn G. Masassya was quoted by state news agency Antara as saying Monday that the company has held talks with related parties including industries for the proposed Tanjung Carat deep sea port project at the Tanung Api-Api SEZ.

He added that discussions over the proposed seaport project including in terms of technical and commercial aspects, and the FS could be finalized by the end of this year.

Among of the industries that have expressed interest to utilize the planned Tanjung Carat port is fertilizer company PT Pupuk Sriwijaya, Antara said. (*)
