Peluang field to produce 25 mmscfd

Santos Indonesia estimated its Peluang field will produce 25 mmscfd of gas in 2014.

"Peluang field located adjacent to the Maleo field in East Java, which will be on stream this year, will produce gas at 25 mmscfd in 2014," said Arie Nauvel, the External Relations Senior Manager of Santos, after a meeting on the issue with PSC Holders organized by upstream authority SKK Migas in Bandung Monday.

Arie said the gas production will be allocated to three buyers, including state utility firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) at a rate of 15 mmscfd.

He did not mention the price.

Outside Peluang, Santos has three producing fields in two blocks.

"First is the Maleo field, which has been producing gas, with PGN being the sole buyer. The production capacity is 100 mmscfd, but the current production is 80 mmscfd," said Arie.

The second field is Oyong field, at 30 mmscfd, all being sold to PT Indonesia Power.

"Third is the Wortel field with gas production of 50 mmscfd. The gas buyers of the field are three, namely Indonesia Power (IP) 30 mmscfd, Sampang Mandiri Perkasa (BUMD Sampang) 17 mmscfd, and Pasuruan Gas (BUMD Pasuruan) 3 mmscfd," Arie said.

Maleo and Peluang fields are located in Madura Offshore block, with shareholders being Santos (Madura Offshore) Pty Ltd (67.50 percent), PC Madura Ltd. (22.50 percent), and PT Petrogras Beach Madura (10 percent).

Oyong and Wortel are the two other Santos fields which are located in Sampang block with composition of shareholders comprising of Santos (Sampang) Pty Ltd (45 percent), Singapore Petroleum Sampang Pty Ltd (40 percent), and Cue (Sampang) Pty Ltd (15 percent).
