Pembangkitan Jawa Bali signs agreement with Chinese firm

PT Pembangkitan Jawa Bali (PJB), a subsidiary of state owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) announced it had signed an agreement with Chinese firm Xiangtan Electric Manufacturing Group on the provision of spare parts for its PLTU Indramayu coal fired power plant in West Java.
The agreement was signed on July 17, 2014, PJB said in a statement obtained on Thursday.
The agreement aims to guarantee availability of spare parts for the power plant in case of emergency and provide training for the power plants workers so that the power plant will become an excellent power plant.
Xiangtan Electric Manufacturing Group Co., Ltd. was founded in 1936. After decades of development, the company has become the backbone enterprise of China's electrical industry and product, research base of national major technical equipment, enjoys its reputation as the "cradle of mechanical and electrical products of China".
