PEP: ABP-1 well plugged and abandoned

PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Asset IV said that the Albatros Putih-1 (ABP-1) exploration well at Cepu field in Tuban, East Java, has been plugged and abandoned.

"In ABP-1 well, there?s water pressure constraint at a depth of 1,100 meters, so the drilling has been discontinued. The drilling point for the evaluation of reserve at the next Albatros will be conducted at the ABP-2 well within the cluster," General Manager of PT Pertamina EP Asset IV Agus Amperianto told Petromindo.com on Tuesday.

He said that his company will try to check for the accuracy of the point of the well. "That is by shifting the coordinates of the ABP cluster," he said.

PT Pertamina EP Asset IV comprises of Cepu, Matindok and Poleng fields.
