PEP appoints Wit Mulya to lead enhanced oil recovery projects

PT Pertamina EP (PEP), a subsidiary of state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, has installed Wit Mulyana as Vice President of Enhanced Oil Recovery, replacing R Panji Sumirat.
Wit was formerly senior manager of exploitation at PEP?s Asset 2, PEP said in a statement on Thursday.
Satoto Agustono, PEP?s Development Director, said during the installment ceremony that PEP is holding a high expectation that the EOR technology will play a significant role in raising PEP?s production. However, the fields where PEP has been applying the EOR technology has thus far been only able to meet 70 percent of the production target.
Satoto said PEP believed Wit will be able to improve the performance.
