PT Pertamina EP (PEP), a subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, has purchased two hoists, each with a capacity of 150 HP, specifically designed to meet the conditions at the Klamano production field in Papua.
The company spent US$8 million for the two hoists. ?The hoists called KSF 01 and KSF 02 are expected to arrive at the field at the end of October," PEP Development Director Satoto Agustono told Petromindo.com Thursday.
He explained that the hoists, or maintenance rig, will be applied in drilling, workover and well-service activities.
He added that KSF 01 and KSF 02 are specifically designed by its manufacturer, Indonesian firm PT Petrodrill Manufacturing Indonesia, to meet the narrow, hilly and dirt-road conditions at the Klamono field.
