PEP completes POP of Jati Asri-1 well

PT Pertamina EP (PEP), an upstream subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, said Tuesday that it has completed a Put on Production (POP) program for the Jati Asri-1 well in Melandong field, West Java.

The company said in a statement that the POP program was completed on June 20 of this year, paving the way for the Jati Asri-well to start production.

Separately, Pertamina EP President Director Adriansyah told Petromindo.com that the well is expected to start production at the end of this month. ?I expect that if there?s no technical problem, production can start at the end of June 2014,? he said.

Adriansyah said in May that the Jati Asri-1 well was expected to add production by 3,110 barrels per day.
