PEP completes Rantau well drilling

PT Pertamina EP (PEP), a subsidiary of state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, has completed the drilling of RNT-DZ7 well located in Rantau structure, Rantau district, Aceh Tamiang regency, Aceh province.
The RNT-DZ7 well is the sixth of a total of 12 wells planned to be drilled by the firm this year, according to the firm.
The drilling lasted 18 days to the depth of 809 meters, using SkyTop rig owned by its sister company PT Pertamina Drilling Services Indonesia (PDSI), with a oil production target of 120 bopd from Z-800 Zone of Block A1.
Production tests of RNT-DZ7.P-441 resulted in Qoil of 333.21 bopd with choke size of 7/64 inches and a wellhead pressure of 620 psi. The well was producing with a water content of zero percent. This indicates the prospect Z-800 Zone of Block A1 is good as it contain oil with economical value.
