PT Pertamina EP (PEP) has slightly delayed the on stream schedule of the Gundih gas field in the Cepu block in Central Java from November to December of this year.

PEP Director Doddy Priambodo told Petromindo.com Friday that the company has delayed the schedule to make way for chemical cleaning process at the gas storage facility. ?This is aimed at maximizing our storage capacity,? he said.

He quickly added that the Gundih gas field project has been completed, and is set to be on stream end of December.

PT Indonesia Power, a subsidiary of state-owned electricity firm PT. Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN), as reported by this portal in October that it was hopeful to be able to quickly start receiving gas from the Gundih field to fire up its Tambak Lorok power plant in Central Java. PLN would initially receive 20 bbtud of gas from Gundih, which would eventually be increased up to 50 bbtud.
