PEP discovers gas at NKT#2 well

PT Pertamina EP (PEP) said it has discovered gas at the North Kedung Tubang#2 (NKT#2) well in the Java region at a rate of 2,5 mmscfd. The company also plans to spud the Ranca Jawa#4 well in May.
?Gas discovery at NKT#2 well during DST-5 at a rate of 2.5 mmscfd. There?s also a plan to spud the Ranca Jawa-4 well in a month time,? Vice President for Exploration at PEP, Nanang S. Manaf told Petromindo.com Wednesday.
Nanang added that the gas find at NKT#2 is planned as a buffer for gas development project in the Java region including in the Randu Blatung, Kedung Lusi and Kedung Tuban fields.
?The expected total (gas) production from the three fields is 70 mmsfcd, which will dedicated for PLN Tambak Lorok,? he said, referring to the Tambak Lorok power plant operated by state-owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN).
