PT Pertamina EP (PEP), a subsidiary of state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero), said that reactivation of four Jatiasri wells at its Asset 3 Subang Field in West Java is expected to increase gas production from 235 mscfd to 240 mmscfd in September of this year.

Armand M. Hukom, Subang Field Manager, told journalists recently that each well is expected to produce gas of around 1.5 mmscfd to 2 mmscfd.

?In the first semester we were able to produce gas around 235 mmscfd and by reactivating four wells in Jatiasri we expect to have additional gas (output of) around 6 to 8 mmscfd this year,? he said.

He added the total expenditure for reactivating of the four Jatiasri wells is around US$ 4 million.
