PEP faces tough obstacles in meeting 2013 output target

PT Pertamina EP (PEP) said that it?s facing tough obstacles in meeting 2013 oil production target of 132,000 bopd as water levels in several wells being drilled has risen, and land acquisition to carry out drilling work remains difficult.
?Several wells have suffered from rising water level, in others there have been obstacles with land acquisition for drilling work ? such as in Sukowati, Bunyu, assets in Sumatra, and in other places,? PEP Public Relations Manager Agus Amperianto told Petromindo.com Friday.
He added that the company has yet to resolve land acquisition problems in more than 50 locations. As of June of this year, PEP?s production stood at 122,085 bopd.
