PT Pertamina EP (PEP) plans to put on production (POP) the Tiung Biru field in the Cepu Block, Central Java, early next year.
The company is currently awaiting for the approval of the plan from a new upstream authority after the Constitutional Court ruled on Tuesday for the dissolution of BPMIGAS.
?We?ll start production in Tiung Biru early next year, while approval process is still ongoing. Initially, we?re seeking (for approval) from BPMIGAS, but now waiting for the replacement of BPMIGAS.,? Pertamina EP VP for Exploration, Nanang S. Manaf told Petromindo.com Wednesday.
Tiung Biru is planned to produce around 1,000 bopd. ?Early next year, three wells are planned for production,? he said.
Elsewhere, Nanang said that Pertamina EP has successfully conducted drill steam test at a number of fields in the Cepu Block.
