PEP inaugurates Ramba gathering station

PT Pertamina EP (PEP), an upstream subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, has recently inaugurated the operation of a gathering station at the Ramba field in South Sumatra.

Pertamina said in a statement Wednesday that the Ramba gathering station is an existing facility which has been renovated after it had not been utilized for a long time. The facility has a storage capacity of up to 4,000 bopd of crude, it added.

The statement said that the station will help reduce operation cost and increase crude production at the Ramba field as it can store crude from Babat Kukui.

Ramba field production currently stands at 5,186 bopd, compared to the target of 6,070 bopd.
