PEP may delay Kawista-1 drilling to October

PT Pertamina EP (PEP) is having problem to move equipment to Kawista-1 well in Klamono block, Papua due to weather and has thus postponed the drilling plan of the well.

Doddy Priambodo, PEP?s Exploration Director, said the well is likely to be drilled in early October, compared to the initial schedule of mid-August.

?We are still moving drilling support equipment from the second barge. The weather becomes an obstacle. It rains everyday,? he said, adding that the equipment has moved 25 loads or 50 percent of the total distance between the port and the drilling spot.
